Hi all, On Easter Sunday I was at the edge of Lake Rotoroa (here in NZ) reading a book in the car, sheltering from both the rain and the sandflies.
At one stage I looked up from my book and right in front of me was an amazing rainbow; the sun was just high enough that the top of the main rainbow was skimming across the lake surface, with a dimmer secondary rainbow visible above it. Luckily it wasn't raining at the shore so I grabbed the Pentax 6x7, 45mm f/4 and spot meter in a mad hurry, and as the minutes went on I retrieved more and more gear from the car as I took more photos. The rainbow persisted for a while and by the time it had gone I had all my gear out at the side of the lake. I got most of the slides back today (the last film is still in the K2), and scanned a handful of them for your viewing pleasure. http://www.digistar.com/~dmann/temp/rotoroa/ The page is 302kb so will take a few moments to load.
