Calla lily - I have never heard of Arum lilies by that name. You live &
learn. The Afrikaans name is "varkoor" - pig's ear. The plant is native to
Southern Africa. Pink & yellow varieties are available too.

Jack - the big white blooms in the background ARE lilies - calla lilies

Yes, Ann I did see the earlier "flowering corn plant" shots.

photographically - yeah a little unsharp and could darken and up the
contrast a bit... mainly I wanted to show the length of the stem with
the buds on it as compared to a few days ago - and the big blooms last
year.
