When I posted a Christmas pic of Grace I noted that it appeared I had missed on setting the fine focus adjustment on my FA 50/1.4. It was obvious that it was front focusing. Adjusted it again today -- with a new target that precludes focusing on the wrong line. Then I shot Grace and her Christmas present at f1.4. The focus is on her left eye. The FA 50/1.4 is a darn good lens when its calibrated. (Mine came in at -4.) While the K-3 delivers more DOF than would a 24 x 36 camera, I find it delivers enough softness in the foreground and background to make me happy.
