That is from the Alabama Hills restaurant and bakery in Lone Pine.  Another
place well worth a stop.  Lone Pine is an interesting place, not only is
it at the base of Mt Whitney, but it is also where a lot of movies were 
shot.

Nope, the Rotary Rocket is on display at Mojave air and space port.
They also have a replica of spaceship one on display at the same
little museum.
