Given that this Sigma lens is very big and very heavy (which makes it a
totally no go for me for rather personal reasons) I suggest you first
try to hold it in a shop (or if you have a friend that has one, not
necessarily Pentax mount of course). I believe that to achieve accurate
and robust focus fully open may require certain time to be spent with
the USB dock - which you may or may not be willing to do.
I very much would
like Pentax to do something rather unlimited and produce a lens that will
compete with Sigma in IQ dept face to face.
In that case my question would be, when will it be in stock:)
That's purely theoretical question that has only one practical answer -
not now, that's for certain.
