When art model Eugenya offered to do a creative shoot, I was struck by the similarity of her profile to that of Mme. Gautreau, the subject of John Singer Sargent's 1884 oil painting, Portrait of Madame X [1]. She agreed to work on a "recreation" idea that I'd had bubbling on a back-burner for about two years.
