Although I dislike HDR for "photography", as I find myself doing more
and more "graphic design" work I often find it useful for
design/illustration purposes. And now it's stopped working properly in
Photoshop CS6. Every time I try it I get a useless, bright, washed-out
look (the same images and settings render fine when processed on my
laptop computer).

I suppose I could just use my laptop, but I keep it at school most of
the time and it *is* significantly slower than my desktop, so this is
quite infuriating. Here's what I've tried so far:

Using various pre-sets
Processing HDR in 8, 16 and 32-bit modes
Re-installing Photoshop
Turning off ”Use Graphics Processor” in Photoshop preferences
Swapping out the video card in my computer

Nothing helps or even changes the problem in any way. I can't find any
references to this issue on the web and I'm stumped.
