I find it really nice, how many of the old imperial measures remain here in the USA, things that I had only heard fleeting references to as a child growing up in the 60's and 70's in England. We never used sticks, cups, quarts, pecks or bushels etc. Even though I was taught the imperial system at school we were swapped onto metric pretty soon and I have had to learn almost all of it over again since coming here to the USA, and you know what? I love it!
