I have a 7 year old Toshiba Satellite that is still running well. The dual core processor and 4 gigs of ram are good enough to support Photoshop CS5.1. It's taken its licks over the years and the pins that hold the top cover/screen down broke off when I dropped it a few years ago, but otherwise I have no complaints about the machine. I'm not a fan of the Vista OS but aside from unduly long bootup times and the annoying habit of disabling the USB ports after downloading updates (re-enabled on the next reboot) it is OK. My wife bought a Toshiba 4 or 5 years ago and it has also held up very well. When I go to get a new laptop someday I'll check out Toshiba - I'm not current on whether or not they are still good.

The HP Elite Books that the IT folks at work give me are pretty nice as well.

Who does give you good value for your money in a laptop PC nowadays?

That was my next question.
I only have two criteria that must be met.
It must be Windows 7, and it must not be Lenovo.
