On 4/3/14, David J Brooks, discombobulated, unleashed: >Just wondering, looks like the feed is going back to a computer so >they can manover the Go Pro.
The setup is like this Dave - the drone has a camera suspended on a small motorised pan/tilt head. The operator will have a screen receiving a feed from the camera - exactly what kind of feed this is varies depending upon cost. The dolphin drone is all raw footage so it could do with a bit of editing - rough camera movements don't need to be seen by anyone. For top notch stuff, two operators, one for the drone and one for the camera. Biggest problem with these things is wind. Makes the movements unstable and jerky - and let's face it, over open water it can be a bit windy ;-) I've got a friend who has just got a license and will be interested to hear his experiences. The shots can obviously be breath-taking but as with all things photographic, the operator is the crucial part.... -- Cheers, Cotty ___/\__ Broadcast, Corporate, || (O) | Web Video Production ---------- <www.seeingeye.tv> _____________________________ -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
