Paul. The owner of my local hardware store is about 48. A couple years ago he bought a 20-year-old red Ferrari. "How did you convince your wife?" I asked. "I didn't ask," he replied. "I just did it. I didn't ask her for permission when I bought this store, either." He added that he's already had offers to sell the car at more than he paid. (Not that he will.)
