Interesting that some are able to open the DNG's in CS3 and others are not. I actually just installed CS today and downloaded a fresh copy from the Adobe store (kudos to Adobe for keeping all your purchases available for download.)

Here's the file I cannot open if anyone want a 2nd DNG sample:

Now this is interesting....

That file opened fine in my desktop PC's copy of CS3. So, just for laughs I installed CS3 on my Laptop and...

... the file wouldn't open ('wrong type of document' message).

All very odd.

Just a follow-up.

I ran Mark's file through DNG Converter. The resultant DNG opened fine in CS3 on both my Desktop and Laptop machines.

In summary (based solely on my observations), out-of-camera DNGs from the K-3 open in older versions of Photoshop on some computers but not on others, but those recalcitrant DNGs can be opened by running them through the Adobe DNG converter. And they end up a bit smaller as well.
