Glad you looked at and enjoyed the whole gallery... It really isn't
surprising I rememembered , knew all those names - I know or knew
all of them for at least 30 years - remember I was a tourney
player.. many of the photos are of friends and about half the
photos were published over the years in various places...
Still an achievement. I can't remember the names of my own family.
Which runs in the family - sometimes my mother would have to run
through a whole list of apparently random names until she remembered
mine.
At least, I think she was my mother.

I think that happens with a lot of mothers. I've been told insanity is
hereditary; you inherit it from your kids.
By the time I was in my late teens I'd figured out that when my mom
called my name she meant my younger brother, James. If she meant me,
she'd start going through a list of HER brother's names.
Names can be a funny thing in families. My maternal Grandfather, my mom
and my mom's youngest brother all had the given name "Marion". My mom's
family always called her Clara. When I was younger, I thought Clara must
be my mom's middle name, but her name is Marion Louise.
I've wondered sometimes where "Clara" came from or who in my mom's
family actually was "Clara". It was not, as far as I've been able to
find out, any of her siblings middle name.
