Re scrabble on phone - tt's the same game as far as I know. I'd be surprized if he didn't have one. He certainly played extensively on line against people and machines. In the early 90's before all the fancy graphics, there was a great site called posldoom - back in the day when I was still among the relative heavy hitters, we even played little tourneys on it.

Occasionally I won one but - I never won a game against him on the pro tour tho.

I did, however, beat Stefan in two tourney's - which he documented in Word Freak.

The passing of the subject in February was yet another reason why I was
so depressed. Les and wife Joan were good friends and Lester was also
