It's interesting to read _today_ what the critic (Jim White, Q magazine) wrote some 20 years ago about this song on the "Fields of Gold" (1994) album: http://sting.com/discography/index/ablum/albumId/12/tagName/Albums "there's the political commentary rendered obsolete by the historical turn of events ('Russians')." I hope that statement remains valid today, 20 years later, and beyond.
