My local B&M store is much the same way. Last model they had in-stock was the K7 - and they wanted something like $1100 for it when all online sources had it for less than $800. I couldn't pay the $300 premium to help 'em out. Made me sad. But I did buy my *istDS from them, sight-unseen, right after its availability was announced! $1200 and I was happy to do it. You've reminded me again just how much I hated that name.
