I was cutting the grass this afternoon when I saw something flopping around trying to get away from the lawn mower. I DID NOT run over it, I just came close to where it was semi-concealed in the grass and it was trying to escape.
Its wings appear to be Ok, but I think it couldn't get into the air because its legs are injured. One of them looked like it was almost broken off at the joint. I tried to put it up in some shrubbery where I thought it might have a chance if it lives long enough for the leg to heal.
