Steve, I had a similar experience on my recent trip to Sweden-Norway-Denmark. Even though we hit Copenhagen toward the end, though, I still hadn’t learned not to walk casually into/across the bike lane. Fortunately I was there during Easter week holidays and so there was far less traffic than usual. Somehow for me it is easier to remember to look right in England than it is to look out for bikes.
hey i was also there on Easter (2014); i didn't recall any Copenhageners on the list, so didn't think to try a meet up … did a day trip to Lund, Sweden too
