I know that several people here are interested in buildings that are beyond their prime.
This is a new book of images featuring the State of New Jersey's famous or infamous Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital, and its most famous patient, America's greatest folk singer, Woody Guthrie. Guthrie suffered from Huntington's disease, a degenerative brain disorder, and spent 5 years at the hospital, where he was visited by Bob Dylan, Joan Baez and other artists of the folk music revival of the 1950s and 1960s. The original buildings of the hospital have been closed for many years, and the images illustrate their decay and the haunting spirit that remains. http://www.amazon.com/Woody-Guthries-Wardy-Forty-Greystone/dp/0989752100 http://ec2-54-221-226-159.compute-1.amazonaws.com/wordpress/galleries/greystone-park-hospital-nj/ http://www.woodyguthrie.org/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=TWGS&Product_Code=WGWF Dan Matyola http://www.pentaxphotogallery.com/danieljmatyola -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
