Yup. I recently watched A Serious Man directed by the Coen brothers
and I was completely mystified by it. I thought it was the most obtuse
and disappointing Coen movie I'd seen. People did completely random
things and behaved very oddly, and it seemed to end right in the
middle of an action scene.

Later I read that it is supposed to be a clever retelling of the Book
of Job from the Bible. Oh yeah? Who dat? :-)

One of those movies that should have had a warning label with
pre-requisite knowledge on it to save folks like me from bothering.
