Hi Alan and all
Got my P50 (P5) today - in excellent/near mint condition! (Now I can sell my
P30!)
The P50 is beautifull!!! I love the "Leica-like" cut-away upper corners - it
has a very nice, kind of minimalistic design. A true Pentax. The P50 manual
says 1986 - it really is later than the Super A (Camera Of The Year in
Europe 1983??).
As Alan correctly mentioned the P50 does NOT have a shutter priority mode
(shame). But an Action program (used shutter speed indicated i display), a
Depth program (used aperture indicated in display), Aperture priority AE as
well as metered Manual. Centerweight 1/100 sec. flash speed. It has +/-
correction (-3 to +3) in half stops and an AE lock (like the P30 (P3)). Self
timer, DOF preview. Winder MEII and Motordrive A can be used (as oposed to
the P30). No ASA setting (automatic/DX) and no TTL flash. (Well, since I
just got the Pentax 67 last week, I guess I'll have to wait a while before I
get a LX, a MZ-S - or a 645! Well, I just love Pentax cameras...don't you?
Regards
Jens
