I'm not sure if they are aggressive or not. I first noticed them Saturday afternoon, and Sunday I bought a can of wasp and hornet spay that can reach 20+feet, so I could spray the nest. Even so, I had to hang our the windows of the bedrooms to the right and the left of the nest, and stand on a ladder under the nest to reach it. They did not attack me in the process, although I kept as far away as possible, not did they pour out of the nest in an angry swarm, as I have seen in other circumstances.
I will check the nest tonight, and try to knock it down if there does not appear to be any activity in and out.
