Ok, here's a new question for you on this bright and happy Monday. Say you
have to pare your camera gear down to one body and one fixed-focal-length
lens for the next couple of years. The body and lens to come from your
current gear selection. What will it be, and why?
I'll go first: My MZ-S and SMC-A 50mm F2.8 Macro. Why? I love the MZ-S
user interface. The 50 is wide enough for at least some people shots, works
well as a landscape lens, and is a reasonable macro lens. I'll miss a
telephoto lens, but this setup covers most of my productive shooting.

>> Though I use the MZ-S and LX most often, with some M42 thrown in, I would
have to choose the LX. It is compact. It has great OTF metering, for
available light shooting. It has great protection against the elements. It
can be used with a winder if you wish or without. With different finders
and screens available, you can customize to your needs. It uses the battery
for the slower speeds, and I can cart my Sekonic Studio Deluxe 398 meter in
lieu of the LX meter.
As for lens selection, I would want the fastest lens possible since I do a
lot of available light shooting. Therefore I would take my 50/1.2. Though
the 1.4 and 1.7 would also be candidates. The lenser I use the most are the
77/1.8 and 24/2.8, but as I said fast is where I would go with this.
