Thanks for posting that, Bipin. I find naming conventions and
derivations fascinating.

Hello Darren, glad you liked my advice. When Wolf / Ritz Camera was
shutting down I bought a Quantaray Flash with (2) Modules - Manual aka
old style auto Thyristor + AF with the Focusing Light - for $ 40. The
manual combo is one heck of a terrific Chinese Technology and I get
direct + bounce flash photos 90% of the time right.
I would be called Mr. Gupta. Gupta is my family name or also referred
to as "SURNAME". Surnames in India can identify you by "Caste / Tribe
/ Business". Guptas are traditionally "Baniyas or Vaishyas or Traders
or Bankers or Business Folks or Industrialists - typically upper
Middle Class today.
Mahatma Gandhi & our current Prime Minister Narendra Modi are Baniyas.
In India we arees classed as "OBC or Other Backward Classes" which
qualifies us for some benefits & doles - believe me currently nothing.
Bipin is my first name and Bihari my middle name. In Sanskrit or pure
Hindi languages it should be Vipin Vihari or "one who "Resides in the
Celestial Forest". Bipin = Vipin = Forest. Vihari = Bihari = Reside.
In the North Eastern States of India from where I come the alphabet
"V" is missing and relaced by "B".
My Parents called me Nanhi, commonly used for little children.
With Kind Regards.
Bipin (Nanhi)
camp: Thornhill, Ontario.
