It was pointed out to me here recently that the smc a 28/2.8 mm is actually a normal lens on an APS-c sensor. This morning I took a look at shorter lenses at KEH. I found an smc a 15/3.5 bgn for $698, an smc a 20/2.8 ex+ for $648, and an smc a 24/2.8 ex for $328.
The latter comes close to being affordable for me. I assume since the price is high it’s rare and maybe a better lens than my 28/2.8. But it’s not that much shorter and I wonder if I’d notice the difference in the quality of images I got with it. Aside from the fact that there are occasions on which I’d like a little wider field of view, I’m happy with the 28/2.8. I think I’ll stick with it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Eric Weir Decatur, GA USA [email protected] "Our world is a human world." - Hilary Putnam -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
