While processing photos that had a lot of blue sky in them
(from Dallas Hot Air Balloon Festival), I noticed an interesting effect:
while LR (3.6) is loading the full preview, it is showing some lower
quality preview (from the thumbnail?), and there is clear bending effect
showing in the sky area.
Once the full preview is loaded, no bending can be seen.
I haven't seen this type of effect in any of the previous photos.
I wonder what could be different with these photos... higher dynamic range
in the sky? Stronger gradient?
Any thoughts?
