vvn> On some early camcorders, the videotape recorded color but the vvn> display was a black and white CRT. Paul, strangely, the pro camcorders (beta, big DV,...) have monochrome viewfinders. Reason I believe is that it allows it to have 3x more pixels than a colour LCD finder, and allows for bigger and sharper image, almost like a true TTL finder, at least in my experience.
