Rick: That's a great image.
And after reading the message subject/photo title, I hear voices in my head: "Let it go!..."

If this photo were mine, I would probably try to play with sharpening and/or applying unsharp mask ("presence" tool in LR), to make the ice pattern more apparent, but that may or may not work well...

I agree that the leafless portion at the bottom should be kept.
I am not concerned about the twig. The little leaf at the very bottom left corner pointed out by Jack and a portion of one at the bottom center indeed could go.. But neither is critical in my opinion.

Ann, in your message, I first read this line:
that's why we need the PDML annual - so we are all looking at the same
thing
as "PDML anal" ...
"Freudian slip" some may say...
;-)

Cheers,

Igor

I'll add that I believe I see a faint "ice pattern" near top center.(??)
Yeah, I'd have to get rid of the tan thing poking up in the lower left
corner as well.

I don't see any ice pattern either...well.. a tiny bit if I look at my
monitor from a higher angle than I usually do. I actually would have
darkened the surface at the bottom a bit I think.

The little twig at the right on the bottom would go if I'd taken this -
but that is nitpicky

Thanks, Bob, Ken, and Jack.

Jack, there is an ice pattern on the surface that shows up on my home,
work, and laptop monitors, but not on my wife's iPad. It might be a
calibration difference.

Nicely seen & captured. If you go further with it I'd suggest a crop
on the bottom to eliminate some of the leaf less area.

Subject: PESO - Frozen

We interrupt our trip to Berlin for this shot from my (cold) walk to
work in Philly this morning:

(K-5, DA 40/2.8 LTD)

The pond I pass was completely frozen over, both this morning and
this evening.

Comments appreciated!
