Sorry, Dan and Rick

As it turns out - I have seen some of his work in person - I just didn't know they were his - that is, I never learned his name, or forgot it. I just did a google search on him and saw a lot of images of his work and no matter what you call it I simply don't like it at all. Not my cup of java - they simply make me cringe.

I must respectfully disagree, Ann.

I think that Seward Johnson's sculptures based on great art and great
photography are effective and compelling.  They are all done with a
bit of tongue in cheek and humor, and should be viewed that way.  The
often bring the originals to life in a different fashion, with an
immediacy that can not be achieved in two dimensions.  I particularly
enjoy his sculptures of familiar French Impressionist works displayed
in the woods and along the ponds and the lake at Grounds for
Sculpture.  One can really immerse oneself in the scenes.
