Appreciate your response, Zos! Don't tell anyone, but I chose an AF-S setting 
in the menu and failed to notice AF-C was still showing on the monitor display.
It now feels "fixed."

same settings? all corrections off? you need over 1/500 or so to get
the full frame rate. i tried this with my k-3 and it worked fine no
matter what I tried.
