Does anyone know about the "Zeiss" lens? It says it's made in Japan under
licence, and I suspect it might be a Sigma or similar, but it's got a 72mm
filter thread - all the aftermarket lenses I've seen listed seem to take 67mm filters.
It's a great big beast that weighs about 1.5kg.

Mahinda,
I don't track zooms this slow, but four of that focal range are listed at
http://people.smu.edu/rmonagha/third/table3.txt:

cosina 100-500 5.6 83 $650 $1,077 auto zoom macro et series
mitakon 100-500 5.6 83 $680 $1,126 auto zoom MC one-touch
tamron 100-500 5.6 84 $1,519 $2,415 auto zoom ultra
promura 100-500 5.6 85 $525 $806 auto zoom, macro
soligor 100-500 5.6 85 $619 $951 auto zoom, one-touch MC

I suspect it's one (or more than one) of these. If yours is a 2-touch, you can rule
out 2 of them; if a 1-touch, you can rule out 3 of them. Likewise with MC and macro.

I'm fairly familiar with CZJ lenses (I own the 20/2.8) but I must say I didn't know
they rebadged anyone else's lens.
