Indeed. In the case of ectomorphs like me, 10 minutes is a prolonged abstinence!

The local Wimpy serves its "breakfast" menu throughout the day.

I think we have an issue with semantics.

Breakfast is a meal eaten after a somewhat prolonged abstinence from
food, it doesn't matter whether you eat leftovers from the previous
nights Dinner or foods recently associated with the first meal of the
day. The first meal of the day is "Breakfast" because you are breaking
your fast.

There's no rule that you eat Pancakes, Steak and Eggs, Lobster Bisque,
or for that matter Venison Stew, for any particular meal, if it's the
first meal of the day it's "Breakfast". If you eat Captain Crunch
Cereal, (a food often consumed at breakfast by children who don't know
any better), if you ate a morning meal then you're not eating Breakfast.

You're being much too conventional about the whole thing. Unless I'm
very much mistaken, you could eat breakfast any time you wish.
Yes, I think it's more common here to go out for brunch. Which, for me, is called second breakfast.
