I'd say it's every bit as bad as was hyped.  We have a solid 2 feet at least, and it's 
still coming down pretty heavily right now.  And it's not light & fluffy stuff, 
either.  My parents, who live on the coast another 10 miles south, have a serious 
breach of the sea wall in their neighborhood after this morning's high tide.  Many of 
their neighbors are under water, and news crews are doing their reports from a half 
block away.  My folks, whose house & lot are sited relatively high, are dry, so 
far... But as the next high tide approaches, we fear that may not last.

One of these days, I'm going to camp at their place for one of these storms....

Turned out not to be as bad as had been reared. Still a right pain in
