Let me check.... Ok I imported a video just fine with LR5 and my K-5 IIs. Sounds like you are missing the codec lightroom needs. Are you on OS X? If so I probably wouldn't be much help, but lightroom is dependent upon whatever codecs you have installed on your machine for video. IIRC, it definitely wants quicktime at the very least. If you are on a PC try installing quicktime and maybe the full k-lite codec pack.
