Hi Pentaxians, at $ 496 for the K-5 IIs (mine costed $ 350, minus bundled FREE stuff), and $ 620 for the K-3 -see link below
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pentax-K-3-2...686429?afsrc=1 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pentax-K-3-23-4-MP-Digital-SLR-Camera-Black-Body-only-/181520686429?afsrc=1&rmvSB=true one can see why Pentax is the best deal in the world. And these prices are from quality sellers like B&H, Adorama etc. Coupled with the smallest, lightest lenses, and in most cases the cheapest in each class, Pentax gear is the best value for money. Eg. my HD DA 55-300 WR came for $ 257 from the Pentax Web Store last month. The K-5 IIs with the Tamron 17-50/2.8 or the Tamron 28-75/2.8 is formidable. Brutally sharp with great color and contrast. I will say this about the K-5 IIs, that it makes even mediocre lenses like the Sigma 70-300 DL Macro (not the DL Super) a formidable picture taking machine. I have stayed away from the Pentax K-3 due to few adverse comparative reports on the internet, and await Pentax's Full Frame body - till a Boxing Day or Black Friday sale of course. I can say this with confidence having used the older Canon & Nikon DSLRs - pre circa 2011. Regards. Bipin Sturgeon's Law - "90% of everything is crap". Why should it not apply to photography? -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
