The butterfly is cool.

I'm not in that big a hurry for winter to end. For me, it just means I
got to cut the "grass" again (over & over again).

We got some "snow" around here this week. Monday we got about an inch
before it turned into a mixture of sleet & freezing rain. Woke up
Tuesday morning to ICE; big pain in the patootie because I HAVE TO
shovel it off so the mail person won't slip on it and sue me. Lowes was
all out of road salt.

Just about the time I got it finished we started getting flurries again.

I expect that's winter's last gasp around here. The only reason I
mention it is the next street over from mine is a main thoroughfare &
they've got it closed to replace sewer lines. The detour runs down my
block. For the first time since I moved here 40 years ago the city sent
out the scraper truck to remove the snow from my street.

Note: "grass" in quotes because it's not grass. It's some kind of green
weeds.

But as long as it keeps the dirt covered I don't have to deal with the
neighborhood infestation of yuppie scum house flippers complaining to
the city about it & causing me grief.

Another inch of snow last night, I'm officially tired of winter. So
here's a shot from last Fall's Monarch migration. I missed focus by a
bit, not that big a bit but. There was one in this sequence with the
butterfly in perfect focus, and in a slightly better pose, but also
partially hidden by the plant, there was a bit of wind blowing the
subject around that day IIRC.
