Well Ann, you remind me of a friend who said this when he heard where I was
going:
What´s a minimalist like you going to do in a place like that :-)
LOL!
And my wife agrees with you.
Well we girls know best...
But it was an interesting experience.
I did try to work on the backgrounds and what you could see of the eyes.
To steal the small moments that were not completely staged,
and while I like the results I don´t think I´ll do it again. I prefer
a bit more silence.

Glad to note it :-)

Dag -
I love your minimalist photography and your photos in general but I only did a
fast skim of these - a little cramped for time here still trying to catch up on
stuff from idleness recently...
as photography, it's your usual excellent talent shining through -
but the scene you encountered in Venice would have sent me running in the other
direction had I been there on two levels, lots of other photographers around
and extremely madeup subjects that come off to me
as somewhat sinister in flavor. Like clowns.
back to your sweet kids please :-)

Thanks :-)
Venice was an interesting place. The models were dressed to be photographed and
wanted to pose, so the main problem was to avoid all the other photographers.
If the model notice you they will give you a card so you could send them the
pictures.
Actually it was nice to be there with Pentax with some Limited lenses, among
lots of large lenses, flashes and tripods. I didn´t get very much attention
(and therefore very few cards) but for the most part managed to got the
pictures I wanted.

Outstanding, Dag! I particularly like the shots with interesting
backgrounds; my overall favorite is the next-to-last shot in the 5th
row.
How did you get so much cooperation from so many celebrants?

That should be labeled a GESO, rather a PESO. <G>
That is a fascinating collection of incredible images! Thanks for
sharing them all.
They are all masterful, but my favorites are 1034, 1058 and 1065.

I had a few days last week just for taking picture. Too many, of course, but
some of them may be seen here:
