> Is the SMC-A 35-70 lens that you [Alan] recommend a macro, or a > non-macro lens?
The A 35-70/4 officially is called a "macro zoom" (as are so many zoom lenses), but it is actually quite a decent macro (i.e., close-focusing) lens (reaching a magnification of 1:2.7 at a focus distance of 0.25m at its 70mm FL setting). The macro detail is pretty good, too (see http://phred.org/pentax/lensgal/a35-70_4/a35-70_4.html ). Fred - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
