Every review I've seen of the V850 has been excellent. I thought about the V850 when I asked recently about scanners but went for the V600, as I got a fantastic deal, which made the V850 300% more. What I hadn't thought about for my needs was the V850 scans 12 slides to the 4 I can do at a time with the V600. If, as I have, you have thousands to go through, that is some difference. I will look for a deal on one of these just before they discontinue it, as I have a feeling in a couple of years time, my V600 will be worn out. It really has been surprising for me to see how useful a good scanner is. The V850 is a good choice and certainly worth the extra cost.
