Nice captures Alan.

Never seen one before - kind of a 'wild' looking bird. I can certainly see how its long legs would be beneficial in capturing snakes.

Subject: PESO x 2: Secretary Bird

Two studies of a Secretay Bird (Sagittarius Serpentarius). It has characteristics of storks, eagles & vultures but is neither. Stands about 4' tall. A bird of the open veld, preying on snakes & other small creatures, covering distances quickly on its long legs. They ride the thermals to move to other areas & nest atop thorn trees. Both taken with the K7 using an HD 55-300 with which I am very happy.
