I can't think about Johnny Cakes without thinking about the Soprano's
and the gay mobster who was hiding out in rural New Hampshire.

New Orleans has a real Jersey style diner, the Camelia Grill.  The
differences are that the building resembles a small plantation
mansion, the waiters wear bow ties, and they serve grits instead of
hash browns.
