Ralph and I discussed this technique briefly in the recent equipment thread. 
There were a number of digitizers available in the mid ‘80s that could create a 
digital photo from a single video frame using a video camera attached to a 
black box device and a computer. I think the device I had was called Seeing 
Eye, but I can find no reference on the web. The computer was a 128K Apple Iic, 
and the video camera was a big Sharp VHS unit. I remember the girls, Heidi and 
Ingrid, had to sit still for about 15 seconds, not easy for them back then. The 
year must have been about 1986, judging by their apparent ages here. I may have 
showed this before many years ago.
