I am far-sighted and require reading and "computer" glasses (two different prescriptions) for close seeing.
As with a few others I prefer to use my camera without glasses, which I've done by adjusting the diopter for the viewfinder and by learning how to work the thing mainly by feel. I can chimp the histogram and general composition by observing the fuzzy image on the LCD. But while doing studio work I really need to see that darned LCD in sharp focus so I can better judge how my lighting is working. The solution I finally arrived at -- after trying and giving up on flipping glasses on and off -- is a Hoodman loupe, like this one: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/899483-REG/Hoodman_h32_Hoodloupe_3_2_DSLR_LCD.html I just keep it within reach and pop it over the LCD when I need to see it in detail. It also blocks out light, and the extra contrast (especially outdoors) is very welcome. Highly recommended!
