I ask the question because I just got a promotional email from the largest astronomy retailer in the country specifically promoting Pentax. I didn't even know if these things were even being produced any more. (Pentax eyepieces for telescopes have an excellent reputation). Even if they were being produced, they certainly weren't being offered by Orion (telescope.com).
Here is the ad I received. http://www.telescope.com/assets/images/email/04_09_15_Pentax/04_09_15_PentaxW.html?utm_source=150409&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=US-Pentax! If Ricoh owns this part of the company it means that they are doing more to resurrect the brand than those that have come before it. (Something I think most of us have suspected). Pentax used to make superb telescopes also. Makes me wonder if maybe that part of the business might be coming back also. Just thought it was interesting. Now I'm verklempt.
