Thanks for the comments on the "Warholism" set. They are fun …
Often I find Pop-Art to be a bit trite, but it's still fun. Just like over-use of a fish-eye or Lensbaby can become trite, or any "extreme" thing done too much. Knowing just how far to push it and when to stop are key to keeping it interesting. The Instant Lab is tremendous fun and easy to get repeatable, consistent exposures with, but I want to shoot more with the 66/6 Instant Pinhole camera. Getting it right straight out of the camera is the exercise for instant film, and that one is truly difficult to get the right exposure with. It helps hone those skills when I switch back to working with any of my digital cameras—because I feel that getting it right straight out of the camera, whether raw or JPEG, is always the best way to go. It gives the most options when you're rendering. Digital cameras are so easy to do that with, it's easy to get sloppy. One needs an occasional challenge… :-) G > On Apr 8, 2015, at 7:32 AM, Igor PDML-StR <[email protected]> wrote: > > > Godfrey, that's an interesting idea and a excellent implementation! > And I clearly see the reference. > > > But sorry, Warhol's art doesn't touch me, even though I give him a > credit for his non-traditional ideas (heavily mixed with epatage). > > As for Warhol, I am reminded of this episode from 1966: > When one reporter, irritated that Warhol had calmly agreed that his works > weren't original, asked: "Well, isn't this sort of a joke then that you're > playing on the public?"
