Quoting Mark C <[email protected]>:

I finally bought an autofocus 28mm lens - I've wanted a compact APS-C "normal" prime for some time and the SMC f 28 f2.8 seems to fit the bill.

First tests indicate that the lens is very sharp at f28 and gets exceptionally good at f4 and 5.6. I did a few flare tests and it seems to do well in that respect as well. Looking forward to using this on the IR converted K-10d!

I picked up one of those quite a few years ago - it was attached to an SFXn that I wanted as a back-up camera (I think). The SFXn didn't get a lot of use (I still have it, though) and I haven't used the 28 in quite a while - I've got lazy with the 16-45 and 18-135 both covering that focal length.
