FA* 600/4 ED [IF]
Don't really need it, can't really afford it, would be a struggle to
carry around and they're scarcer than hen's teeth, but *I WANT IT*!
Every time I go out to photograph birds with the NikCanonistas in my
nature photography club, my puny little 300/2.8 just seems so inadequate.
I have one.
Before I got it, I always felt at a loss, trekking thru Denali with my
longest lens, a 300mm FA f4.5 and converter, always knowing I could use more
glass. I picked mine up new, and have taken it to Denali several times and
was able to get some outstanding images - some of which I've posted here and
at the Pentax Gallery. My last trip with it to Denali is probably the last
time I'll take it there as it's just too heavy for me to carry for any
distance. I use it now around the house to capture birds around the yard and
for the occasional car trip where I can shoot along side the car.
I've had a few offers to buy it, but I don't see me selling it any time soon

There are several pieces of gear that are very high on my list, exceed

to get before too long. I'm sure that most people on this list have a
similar list, and others might actually have the gear.
Other than that "Full-Frame" DSLR that Ricoh is supposed to finally debut
later this year, my list is pretty short ... or "long" depending on how
you look at it:
