Here we go again....

Where did this myth about dangerous Australia wildlife start.

Last time I looked we don't have bears, panthers, lions, tigers, wolves, cougars, leopards or Hippopotamuses (HippopotamI??).

Yes we have some venomous snakes (hardly unique there), venomous spiders (ditto), crocodiles (ditto), box jellyfish (ditto), sharks (ditto).

About the only dangerous thing in the Australian bush is the chance of being bulldozed over by a galloping wombat or being pissed on my a koala that's sick of being cuddled.

The bit about being ruled by a classy lady in the UK is, sadly, true.
