Our winter temps are quite civilized as are yours. Although, my wife would
have some issues with your summer highs. ;)

You'll be cured if you live here for a while. Our winter range in the
Limpopo Lowveld is about 5-28°C (41-81°F). At 22°C (72°F), like today, I'd
be wearing a jersey but seldom wear longs.

Ann, you and my wife are exactly the same when it comes to temperatures
above 75F.
I endure low AC settings and dodge fans at every hand from spring to well
into the Fall.
A summer drive is, no matter which direction we're going, one in which the
sun is always
on her side of the car. She constructs sun barriers of clothing, pillows,
maps, news papers
(purchased for the purpose) and seat cushions. Difficult to find her at
times when we stop
to fill either ourselves or the gas tank.
We are in a record threatening heat cycle at the moment, (I think it's my
fault???) so am
looking forward to the beginning a series of staggering electric bills.
Good thing it's "dry heat." (GAG)

I'm with you all the way on the weather, Ken... wish it never got above
75 F - although I now have a bit of trouble dealing with
anything lower than 20 F but 4 seasons, definitely - just make the
summer one very short :-)
