I buy and sell a lot of gear via EBay. It's a much larger marketplace than any local or enthusiast forum for older gear.
That said, I'm betting my lovely old Olympus E-1 ($2400 new in 2003-2004) would likely be hard pressed to net $100 back now, after fees and commission. I'm not selling it.
